To those of you who have done the event before, welcome back, and to those new to the event, we welcome you and anticipate that you will have a great triathlon experience at Ft. De Soto Park. This year we will be working with the Friends of Fort De Soto, an organization committed to the preservation and improvement of the park. The event grounds, Ft. De Soto Park is ranked one of the top-ten beaches in the United States. Nine hundred unspoiled acres surround you. Finally, I would like thank you, the athletes and sponsors, for making this event possible. We are excited to bring back some of the traditions of Florida triathlon. We will be going back to the lagoon where both the original "Rizzi's Wildman" and "St. Anthony's" triathlons started. Have a great time, and as always, be safe, be aware of your surroundings, and remember that we do this for the fun and fitness of it.
