USA Triathlon owns and produces the USAT National Age Group Championships. Requests for bids are sent out to all Convention and Visitors Bureau's and Sports Commissions in the United States. A special selection committee is responsible for the selection of the National Age Group Championships. All other National Championships are bid on and selected by the National Championship Selection Committee. In 2005, USAT will also own and produce the Duathlon Short Course National Championship.
